Simulation Theory (Sim Theory) announced the acquisition of Protagonist Games, LLC (“Protag”), a professional services firm known for delivering high-impact interactive experiences. The all-equity transaction, completed as part of Sim Theory’s seed round, marks a pivotal step in the company’s strategy to scale enterprise adoption of its Thunder SDK.
The acquisition adds a stable revenue stream, improves Sim Theory’s profitability profile, and strengthens its ability to win and deliver larger enterprise engagements. By combining Protagonist Games’ delivery capabilities with Sim Theory’s Thunder SDK, the company can move more quickly from pilot projects to production deployments, particularly where organizations need to run CPU-intensive AI/ML pipelines at scale.
The transaction also aligns the founding teams behind a single company and mission, enabling tighter focus, faster decisions, and more consistent execution against Sim Theory’s long-term goals. Protagonist Games will continue to serve existing customers as it transitions toward enterprise solutions built on Thunder SDK
